Phoenix is a very important symbol to me, it represents new beginnings and triumphs over dark times. This image came to me in a dream, like they always do. Awake or not. The phoenix was first meant to rise out of the 'peter pan'-like boys tattoos, and colours were meant to be more golden and fire+water, but it transformed into this, don't quite know why, but i went with the flow of the image, since this was made just for fun...
I painted this in four days, about 20 hours in photoshop, standing up, due to back problems
